Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University

This is the website of the Peabody Conservatory, where I currently attend school. I'm about to enter my fourth year in a five-year, three-degree BM/BMED/MM program. I'm very happy at Peabody, and highly recommend it to both aspiring composers and aspiring music educators. (And all other musicians as well!)

Mu Phi Epsilon International

Mu Phi Epsilon is an international professional music fraternity with many chapters in three countries. I'm proud that I've recently been elected the President of the Phi Gamma chapter at Peabody for the 2004-5 school year. If you're interested in knowing more, contact me.

Abington Friends School

I attended AFS from seventh grade through my high school graduation, and am grateful for all the opportunities for academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and musical and artistic development the faculty there gave me. Congratulations to them also for the recent grand opening of a wonderfully impressive new library!

Adath Jeshurun Congregation

The shul I've attended all my life. I'm indebted to everyone at AJ for their support of my musical endeavors, and particularly to (soon-to-be-Emeritus) Cantor Charles Davidson for his encouragement.

Society of Composers, Inc. (SCI)

American Music Center

I am a student member of both of these organizations. Of all the composers' organizations I've joined in the past I like these two the best. They each provide a thick list of competitions and other opportunities for composers on a regularly updated basis, and SCI features one weekend-long National Student Convention each year featuring far too many (good) new music concerts in far too little time. These groups are both worth joining for aspiring young composers.
